The development of materials is one of the activities listed in the Educational Plan and Curriculum of the NIJ that had been analyzed by the European Council experts within the Joint European Council and European Commission program: „increasing independence, transparency, and efficiency of justice in the Republic of Moldova. The NIJ benefits of the UNDP assistance within the Project „Strengthening the Institutional Capacity of the National Institute of Justice” in developing the materials. The work groups have been formed, on competitive basis, among the NIJ trainers – judges, prosecutors with advanced experience in jurisprudence, representatives of the academia with a solid knowledge basis, that, by fusion, have created an excellent team. The activity of the group was coordinated, from the methodological point of view, by Elena MURARU, vice rector for didactical activity at the Moldova State University.
The following books from the„Training materials” series were published:
Structured according to the criteria set out for this kind of work, each book follows a backbone containing topics from the Curriculum of the subject, representing a large scale approach. The development of materials proceeded from the idea to correlate the teaching-learning process with the assessment procedure, being focused on the practical and applicative aspects, which shall, definitely, ensure success of the training process.
Didactic objectives, successfully integrated in the teaching material, are build on 3 levels, a sine qua non condition, which ensures organic connection between the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the audience.
In order to consolidate the knowledge, multiple-choice tests and test cases are used, that are developed, mainly, based on the legal practice, considering the controversial aspects frequently stumbled upon during the implementation of the legal framework.
When studying individually, the trainee shall be guided by methodological suggestions, including: topic-issues, forms of achievement, assessment methods, the choice of belonging to them.

The Bibliographical support recommended at the end of each topic or section suggests an appropriate number of resources – normative, judicial, theoretical – that contain useful information, essential for good learning of a topic to be applied in the activity.
Thus, according to their theme, content and structure, the training materials shall be a secure source of information for the candidates pretending for the positions of judge or prosecutor. The trainees have the chance to gain knowledge, to develop, to build professional skills and capacities essential for fulfilling the duties accordingly.
