The Trainers’ Network includes the teaching staff of the Institute.
The Trainers Network may include judges, prosecutors, bailiffs, clerks, lawyers, notaries and others who contribute to the administration of justice, including academics from university education that have a length of service of at least 5 years, know the official language, have an impeccable professional reputation.
The NIJ trainers conduct initial and continuous training, and also attend train the trainer courses.
Teachers may work in the Institute as:
- Incumbent trainers;
- Part-time trainers;
- Occasional trainers
The teaching staff may:
- participate at events related to training and research activities of the NIJ;
- benefit from the books, classes, technical equipment and labs, in order to achieve the teaching and scientific objectives, and those of professional development;
- participate in the proceedings of conferences, symposia, congresses and national and international seminars;
- develop educational programs, forms and methods of teachings, textbooks and educational materials they deem appropriate to achieve educational standards;
- Develop educational plans and curricula, textbooks, methodical material and conduct scientific research.
The teaching staff has the following obligations:
- comply wit the rues and instructions for carrying out educational activities;
- participate in the development and improvement of study plans and curricula, in the development of textbooks and methodical work;
- ensure a high-level development of organizational activities, the training process and didactic and methodical activities, as well as scientific research;
- to systematically improve their professional qualifications, to enrich theoretical knowledge and develop practical skills, to improve their management and teaching abilities;
- be impartial and objective in the assessment of students’ achievements;
- carry out scientific research and implement their results in initial training and, where appropriate, in continuous training.
